Risk first.
Always.
Performance only has meaning when it is viewed together with drawdown, exposure and the conditions under which results were achieved. ISB Gold Trade treats risk management as a core part of the strategy.
Three ways to read drawdown
The live MT5 feed records equity snapshots so drawdown can be viewed transparently over time. Current drawdown describes the present state, while average and maximum drawdown describe historical risk.
How risk is approached
Capital Preservation
Risk is considered before return. Position sizing and total exposure are part of the decision process, with the objective of avoiding unnecessary account-level stress.
Exposure Management
Open exposure is monitored as market conditions change. The strategy does not treat every available market movement as a reason to add risk.
Drawdown Awareness
Drawdown is tracked from equity, not simply from balance. This makes unrealised losses visible and keeps risk assessment connected to the real account state.
Active Management
Positions are managed as conditions evolve. Risk can change while a trade is open, so monitoring does not stop after entry.
Transparent Reporting
Positive results are not presented without their risk context. Current DD, Average DD and Recorded Max DD are intended to be viewed together.
Follower Responsibility
Copying introduces execution and account-level differences. Followers choose their own capital allocation and remain responsible for their own risk.
What the statistics mean
Current DD shows the drawdown at this moment. If there are no open positions and equity is at the current peak, it should be 0.00%.
Average DD is the arithmetic mean of the maximum drawdown reached during each completed drawdown episode. It is intended to show a typical historical drawdown experience rather than an average of every individual snapshot.
Recorded Max DD is the largest drawdown captured by the monitoring history. Its date and time are displayed on the Performance page.
